Have You Ever Smiled at Your Organs?

A SAPRANAH Yin Yoga Invitation
At SAPRANAH Yin Yoga, you begin with a question.
Not rhetorical. Not abstract.
A question that calls you into your own body, your own breath:
Have you ever truly smiled at your organs?
In Traditional Chinese Medicine - rooted in Taoist philosophy - there is a practice of softening the gaze inward. Of turning your attention not outward, to perfection or performance, but inward, toward the places that work for you tirelessly: your lungs, your liver, your kidneys, your heart. These are not simply organs. They are your companions, your rhythm keepers, your sacred listeners.
To smile at your organs is to acknowledge their presence.
To soften toward them is to come home.
This is not exercise - This is a return.
SAPRANAH Yin Yoga is a practice of remembering.
It is a weekly opportunity for you to reconnect - not with the image of yourself, but with the substance of who you are.
Each class takes you on a carefully curated journey through your internal landscape - anatomically, energetically, emotionally, and spiritually. One week, you may journey into the realm of the kidneys - their link to fear and willpower, their role as gatekeepers of ancestral wisdom and life force. Another week may guide you into the realm of the liver, helping you release frustration and rediscover clarity of vision.
The spirit of each organ is honoured.
Their elements - Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal - are explored.
And their imbalances are not pathologised but welcomed with understanding.
You will learn to touch your body with purpose.
To breathe where energy resides.
To listen with a depth few ever experience.
This is not acupuncture, but self-acupressure, through your hands, guided gently to Traditional Chinese Medicine pressure points. This is SAPRANAH Yin Yoga.
You will understand where energy stagnates, and how to release it - no needles, no machines, just breath, intention, and awareness.
You will journey into the more hidden centres of Taoist anatomy - the Palace of Essence: the uterus, the womb, the testes. These are not merely biological sites. They are centres of creativity, regeneration, and primordial energy. Whether you are menstruating, post-menopausal, or biologically male, you are invited to explore this profound and often forgotten terrain.
What to Expect
Each class offers you a sanctuary.
A space away from mirrors, expectations, and noise.
You don’t need to perform. You don’t need perfect leggings or perfect answers.
You need breath.
You need stillness.
You need to come as you are.
No one is rushed.
No one is reshaped.
You will be seen.
You will be guided.
You will be held.
Sarah Kate Horner, founder of SAPRANAH, teaches with eloquence, intuition, and a deep respect for ancient traditions. Her classes weave together Taoist medicine, yogic energetics, anatomical insight, and soul-level care. Through poetic cueing, hands-on adjustments, and beautifully chosen quotes from texts like the Tao Te Ching, the Upanishads, and classical Chinese medicine, each class becomes an offering - a ritual, a recalibration.
A Quiet Rebellion
In a world that profits from your disconnection, this practice is a quiet rebellion.
Modern culture trains you to look outward: to buy, to decorate, to fix.
The pharmaceutical industry, the cosmetic industry, the wellness machine - they are all built on the same myth:
That you are not already whole.
SAPRANAH Yin Yoga stands in gentle defiance of that narrative.
It offers you an opportunity not to escape your body, but to come home to it.
Not to override discomfort, but to understand it.
Not to seek externally, but to listen internally - with reverence.
Why Now?
The proof lies in the quiet yearning that you, as so many, carry.
This is what you are searching for.
A practice that invites you inward.
A space that honours the unseen, the unspoken, the unmet parts of the self.
You are not coming to stretch.
You are coming to soften.
You are coming to listen.
The Journey Within
Each week, you are guided to meet your inner landscape
This is SAPRANAH Yin Yoga
It is not a class. It is a remembering.
It is not exercise. It is a form of inner alchemy.
It is not a trend. It is a lineage brought forward, made whole again in your own body.
You will not leave feeling stretched.
You will leave feeling restored.
Realigned.
Returned to yourself.
Surrender. Soften. Replenish. Return.
Come and experience what your body has been trying to tell you.
With love and reverence,
Sarah Horner
